„Colour coded" ist 2005 entstanden: 14 kleine Fotos oben, 22 farbige Striche darunter, wie ein Strichcode. Die Farben des Codes sind den Bildern entnommen. Reizbar ist von 2016. Das Prinzip ist ähnlich. Dieses Mal ist aber das Foto nur ein Streifen und der Strichcode ein Feld. Codierung und Codiertes vertauschen ihre Rollen.Das Foto ist nur noch der abstrahierte Code eines Feldes von farbigen Streifen. Der Code ist in seiner Bedeutung über die des Codierten herausgewachsen. Sie sind zu einer Einheit verschmolzen, zu einem Bild, das Inhalt und Abstraktion vereint und verwischt. Es scheint keine Grenze zwischen Form und Inhalt mehr zu geben, wäre da nicht die zusätzliche Bedeutung, die als digitale Zeichnungen über den Code gelegt worden ist Eine Dreieinigkeit ist entstanden. Die Drei gehen eine Beziehung ein und gleichzeitig auf Distanz, als wenn sie sich nicht entschließen könnten, ob sie sich noch mögen. Sie rangeln darüber, wer denn letzten Endes doch mehr Gewicht hätte. Einigkeit nach außen, brodelnde Vielfalt darunter. Ohne einander, könnten sie aber nicht existieren. Ganz wie Europa.

"Colour coded" was created in 2005: 14 small photos at the top, 22 coloured stripes at the bottom. A code. The colours are extracted from the photos. "Irritable" is from 2016. The principle is similar. This time, however, the photo is just a strip at the bottom and the code is a field at the top. Code and coded have exchanged their roles, as if the photo has become the abstraction of a field of coloured stripes. It might appear as if the meaning of the code has grown out over that of the coded. In any case they have merged into a unity, a picture that unites and blurs content and abstraction. There seems to be no border between form and content anymore, if there was not the additional meaning that has been laid over the code as digital drawings. The trinity mingles  and takes distance to each other at the same time, as if they could not decide whether they like each other any more, as if they were wrestling about importance and prominence: unity from the outside, diversity underneath. Without each other, they could not exist. Just like Europe.
